* One learns by doing. Al doende leert men. From the very beginning we look into the habits and behaviours of the Dutch. Step by step you will understand more, pick up everyday conversation through all sorts of assignments and learn how to talk about yourself, your family, your hobbies or your work.

* In addition to the weekly lesson, count on spending about 2 hours of your own ‘study time’ (huiswerk-homework) at home for an optimal result. Practice with assignments in Contact Nieuw, but also make use of many nice links & sites on the internet (focused on your interests). When learning a language it is very important to spend some time on it (preferably) every day: e.g. via headphones while doing the washing up or ironing, or listening (and singing along) in the car.

*This course is suitable for anyone familiar with learning other Western languages.
